My 156 GTA is still for sale, i really would like to sell it quickly so all/most offers will be entertained, as well as most cars in part exchange if anyone knows of anyone who may want one of these cars...

listen i have. the grilles are now standard, so are the lights. the suspension is staying. price is 'best offer' in that ad.
how will anyone know what im willing to do to sell, if no one will ask me?

I don't think S10 was trying to antagonise - it is just that there were a lot of suggestions and feedback in the previous thread on this, and it might have been better to update that one rather than start another. Also the pics didn't show that you'd switched back the grille/lights. If you are truly desperate that I think you'll have to start dropping the headline price - it is sad, but a relatively high mileage GTA isn't going to shift quickly at the moment unless it is practically given away

i posted in here as people without a GTA might not visit the GTA technical lounge.
haven't updated the photos yet - the lights etc were changed yesterday and the car is dirty. need time and the good weather to wash it before re-doing the pics.
price wise, the price is....not unreasonable. on ebay im not allowed under their terms to say i would take a part ex, but no-one has asked anyway.

Hey chuck would have defaintly been interested for the fella but unfortunately looking for a dirty diesel and Half the asking price unfortunately. Sorry to disappoint but I have asked round for you and sent to a couple of friends that I know are looking for another car.

I just had a quick look at your motor, and I would say I'm sure the pics don't do it justice... Also there is no mention of any cambelt history, which would be the first thing I would want to see.
Also no reason for sale? I would be asking myself if you've only had the car for three months wht are you selling it? Then as a "punter" I'm thinking something like a cambelt or other major expense is looming, or that it is to expensive to run Or any other number of things, few of them desirable in a car
BTW I like all the mods and the colour , those wheels are spot on, so very very Alfa, and the interior looks so much better than the two tone ones.
Only thing is a 2.5 is so much cheaper, and while the GTA is a fantastic motor you could get two or three 2.5's for that money, and fuel is only going up in price.
This car (and any GTA tbh) will become an appreaciating classic in time to come, and I reckon the market is as a play thing for a diehard Alfa nut who drives a diesel everyday and wants to hear that stunning V6 on the weekend

jason156, if the cambelt wasn't done in the major service at 60k miles (is it 60 or 72k for belt?) then it was done when the heads were reconditioned at 105k as written in the description.
