M bro in law has just replaced the upper wishbone on my left side, a few problems with the pinch bolt that was stuck fast but he lowered it and then reversed it, he lost all gears and came with a crunching noise. Horrific crunching noise he said.

He jacked it up again and removed both wheels and could see nothing obvious and then lowered it and drove it to my house. I have taken it for a run around and the gears are fine. A bit stiff in first but that was there before he did the wishbone.

What happened to the gears just then?

Well no problems from it today, but that squeak is really annoying. Thought the wishbones would have got rid of that.
