Well the gear knob in my 147 is getting a little tatty, and so too stop it from getting worse I thought I may as well take it off and put an aftermarket one on.

Firstly:

I know it can be quite tricky to take the knob off. Is it possible to do it without damaging it? (I found this thread which seems helpful)

Secondly:

Do you have any recommendations? I'm not looking for anythign particularly expensive. So look as it looks ok/not out of place and feels ok then I'm happy.

Thanks in advance.

That does look nice. Have you used it yourself or just seen it on ebay? If you have, does it feel ok to drive with.

I know the gear knob is held on with glue, will I need to glue the aftermarket one on?

EDIT: It only says 156/9 on the listing. Will it fit a 147 as well?
