Car is a 159 sw 2.4 jtdm 210bhp

Everytime i switch on the ignition from cold i get the 'glow plug pre-heat warning', once started the car will idle a little rough for a couple of seconds and also a puff of blue smoke, the glow plug symbol will remain flashing for a few seconds after engine start.

I have however checked the 60amp yellow fuse which is not blown and all 5 plugs are "glowing" when connected to a battery.
I have also just replaced the relay module too but the issue remains still.

The three items that i've just mentioned I've checked or replaced is all i can find using the search function so i was hoping someone will know a little more than this.

Many Thanks

excessive blue smoke is caused by oil. your plugs could be getting coated and then its taking a few seconds on initial start up before the oil burns off. turbo seals maybe?

Ok but surely this would have no link to flag up a glow plug error?
