Another Auto Lusso Deposit Problem

Hi.
I'm afraid my first email to this excellent forum must be a grumble.

I ordered an Alfa Romeo from Auto Lusso in July 2007, paying a deposit of £1000 with a delivery date of 12-16 weeks for Factory Orders.
40 weeks later in May 2008 there was still no car and they had no idea when the car would be delivered.
I cancelled the order and was assured my deposit would be returned, but this has not been the case and the elusive Ned Kirkham does not return my phone calls and I've even been cut off twice when I give my name!
This is no way to conduct a business.

I would appreciate Mr Kirkham's response to this so this sorry mess can be sorted out as soon as possible.

Hi again.

Would it be possible for someone to move this email to the General Alfa Discussion forum where the other topic on Auto Lusso deposits were discussed??

Or shall I open a new thread there myself.

Thanks

Bryan.

Hope you get it sorted, as someone who as never dealt/met with AutoLusso but would have potentially used them in the future I have to say the rate at which these threads are popping up is pretty awful.

Usually theres no smoke without fire :(

why all the complaints about autolusso all of the sudden????
I have spoken to ned everytime I have rang with no problems.

Dont no whats happing but shouldnt this be done on a person to person basis not on a public forum.

Just find talking to each other works. But if ned isnt taking your calls then I can understand your frustration. Hope you sort it out soon chap.

Agreed, but if he's not having his calls returned maybe he feels its his only option?
I was ripped off and then openly laughed at down the phone by a so called specialist. I raised it on here, and in the end got my money back.:)
I hope it can be sorted out to everyones satisfaction.

point taken ..... perhaps he should ring and give a different name and then tell ned who he is when he takes the call. If ned hangs up (which I dont think he will) then he can tell us all about it. I am sure that ned would want his sorted as soon as possible.

Why should he have to lie? I for one am very interested to hear about being kept waiting 40 weeks for a car, if that is indeed the case.

So to clarify a point, liamsm, did you join the forum in Feb to search for threads about autolusso or just an interest in Alfas. You seem to have searched for threads about deposits etc recently. If you look you will find alot of positive stuff about Autolusso on here.
Sorry to question you but 40 weeks is a very long time and a forum is an odd place to voice your complaint on something which could, if true, end up in court.

Ned has suffered quite often on here from mud slinging by business competitors who usually end up with the mud back on themselves.

He's put his name and address at the bottom of the post so he should be easy for Ned to identify and PM. He can't be holding onto so many deposits that he can't see if there is one from Bryan Smith of Cottingham. Can he?

I await the usual referal to Autolusso's T&Cs.

Seems reasonable to me to post on an alfa forum if he has this issue , until Ned replies I don't think it'll help second guess anything including having a pop at the op for making the post and given that the first one was closed he seems reasonable to make a new post.
