An 8C went to see
Originally I planned to go to Manchester and take my picture in front of a local landmark like the cathedral, the library, or a pub. However, I'm not likely to get that done this week due to work pressures.
Then I thought what could be more iconic than my bins.

Well, well, well. Look what has arrived!
For tomorrow, a magnificent journey will begin! To celebrate it, the Mayor, towns folk and the global paparazzi will all be present. It’s a shame, because the Alfa and I plan to be elsewhere.
I’m also happy to report that, even though the 8C has barely started its voyage, it is a true Alfa; yep, the suspension is already creaking.

I checked the oil, let the engine warm up gently and took the 8C with me on some errands I had to run today. These took me to Maidenhead, and so I stopped by one of my favourite old stomping grounds, Horseguards. Not only is it serene by the river, but you have a Brunel bridge to admire, too. I’m pretty sure I heard the 8C give a little throttle blip of approval. It’s now on its way to LiamBates in Worcester.
