Like I said, I leave for Jordan this weekend, so, if you have gripes or issues, speak to Alfi.... and be nice while I am gone.

Business, not pleasure, before you ask, and no, I will not bring back gifts..... OK, I might smuggle some sand in if you insist. :p

Cherio. Speak to you all in a week's time :)

Lazy bugger LOL

Jordan (Arabic: الأردنّ‎ al-ʾUrdunn), officially the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, is a country in Western Asia spanning the southern part of the Syrian Desert down to the Gulf of Aqaba. Jordan shares borders with Syria to the north, Iraq to the northeast, Saudi Arabia to the east and south, the Gulf of Aqaba to the southwest, and the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and Israel to the west

Hello folks, I am back
I saw two boardrooms, our offices in Amman, the hotel room and on Friday I actually got to spend the night at a resort on the Dead Sea.... (in other words I worked almost all the time I was there, no time for much else :( )
Had a swim (rather, a float) on Saturday morning, then off to Dubai, and finally flew back yesterday.
I am quite impressed with the country, from what I saw from the Taxi rides, it is really beautifull in a mountainy, deserty kind of way.
I will have to go back a few times in the next six months, till my project is completed, so not looking forward to it, but maybe I can squeeze in a visit to Petra on my next trip, I would love to see that.

Alfi, I have been dodging the travel bullet for the past two years, I am afraid the excuses have run out now, so I will be filling up my passport again from now on.

Take it from me , when you travel for work, (and work for a stingy company) its no fun. The trips are done in such a way that you only spend enough time at a site to do your job, if you want to sight-see you have to take leave and pay your own hotel for those days.....
PLUS I get to travel cattle class, even our execs do not get to go on Business class anymore :(

In my previous company I filled up a passport in less than three years...... and the destinations are almost always not classified as "fun"......

The visit in Dubai was too short as well, did not even get time to go browse the souks......

Hey, he is just as much a Mod as me, no apprentices here :)
Regarding the thread about deleted posts, there is no real "handbook" for mods, we abide by the forum rules (which everyone should have read), and then apply some personal discretion....... I let a couple of things fly if I feel it is harmless enough.
As I saw it most of the posts were deleted because they were off topic..... no harm intended.

Thanks for the welcome back anyway, I wish I could have joined you lot at the meet and greet, looked like a great time......
