I belive the guy selling it means Alfetta Berlina and Giulietta Nuovo (series 116). But afa I remember even the GT and GTV had the petrol tank "standing" behind the rear seat. It wasn't a folding rear seat despite the opening hatch.

only the v6 had the tank behind the seats
the tank on the 116 gt & gtv is under the boot floor

is the tank bad? i had a motorcyle tank that leaked and fixed it with a halfords two mix glue / sealent. I had to break off the pieces and mix together until uniform in colour. It lasted over 5 years until i sold the bike. I have seen other mixs that will fix it. Is it in a place you can get to. If the metal is good you can take the tank off and get it welded. I think they fill with water to stop the fumes.

dont suppose there is a law against fitting a gtv6 tank???

true, would lose the boot space, might have to as I hear the 2.0 tank is as rare as a sud with no rust.
