Damsel in distress!! I recently bought an Alfa Gt 1.9 jtdm from England it is a 06 diesel with 60k, a few weeks ago it started making a really rattling sound when the clutch was engaged+even when it is just tticking over,which stops when you clutch, the garage initially thought it was a release bearing in the clutch however on inspection found that the clutch is fine he now reckons it's the fly wheel but says I need to replace the clutch anyway as it could go further on down the line and it would be easier to do it now whilst he has taken it apart, my question is has anyone else had this experience with the dual mass flywheel and does it really all need to be replaced its about 700 for a new one and another 400 for the clutch so if anyone has any bright ideas I'd love to hear them:lol:
