So i have been hassling anyone that will listen to get eyes on any available cars within 100 miles of Swansea!

Contacted Alfa HQ and they have been exceptional and have mass mailed all dealers within my region, First to get back to me were Lookers Newport!

The chap was aware of a sportwagon that 'may' be coming up for sale next month BUT its sound more and more like it will be sold privately prior to the owner taking delivery of their new car.

So their customer service is very good so far and im not even an owner ! can only mean good things in my book.

ok, I have dealt with Lookers in the past and their after sales service is abysmal, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole to be honest but they MAY have changed you never know.

try LC Motors they are a Fiat garage but will look for an Alfa for you, speak to Mike, they are an Italian family business and very trustworthy, they have looked after all my cars apart from my first Mito which I got rid of pretty quick due to Lookers and their customer care, the next two I bought from Budgens in Shrewsbury but they don't do Alfas any more, the nearest now is Bristol or Exeter as far as I know

theres Wessex Motors in Bristol and Vospers in Exeter as far as I know they are still alfa dealers and LC Motors will order alfas in if you want one tho they are not an official dealer, they are an Alfa approved repair garage too, excellent service and if you mention me or the forum you will get 10% off

Waterfall garage Bridgend

Great Alfa specialist garage, Chris & his brother John are both massive Alfa fans & complete petrol heads.
Just check out their cars!
Fantastic, honest advice & you certainly won't get ripped off here.
Wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

I know Lookers in Cardiff have closed.

I live in Aberdare and used to do all my own servicing etc. That was my job before arthritis took over. So, does anyone recommend anywhere in Swansea or Cardiff preferably, where I can get any servicing, MOT etc? Somewhere that is not going to sting me because I'm a woman and think that I don't know nothing about anything automotive stuff! See me and think, I'll empty her purse as she has no idea.

I have a one owner 2003 147 1.6 tspark Lusso*, so nothing fancy or exotic, but it's an Alfa. Done 118k. Bought it 18th December as an early Christmas present to myself.

A service is due in mid 2018 and cam belt in 2019, I think. Need to check. Would rather cam belt done a few months early than a few days late. I've seen what snapped belt can do to an engine, on more than one occasion. Seen cars scrapped because of a cam belt snapping because the repair costs outweighed the car's value.

*not bad considering I was looking for a 156 Sportwagon! Only me, so why get something that big when I don't need it?

Thanks Tess. Looks like I got to travel a bit then. I guess it is worth it for an Alfa.

Do they fit supplied parts by the customer? I don't mean the cheap crap parts that doesn't last five minutes either. Buy cheap = buy twice. Used to be in the trade so I have seen the horrible cheap and nasty stuff.
