Hello, I have a X reg Alfa Romeo Ti with 37000 miles on the clock. Just had new plug leads fitted as when the weather was really cold it ran like a slug until it had warmed up. I have noticed and for a few months now even before I had the new plug leads fitted that every so often when I'm accelerating its not as smooth as it should be and feels like it is pulling back (if you know what I mean). Last service was at 30000 miles. Can anybody help please?

It sounds to me like a MAF Fault. Do a search for MAF or AFM and you should find what you are looking for.

That's a rather new TI isn't it?
I don't think I have come across an X reg before.

I agree on the MAF. It feels like a big flat spot that is worse when the car's cold.

Try unplugging it. If the car runs better with it disconnected it is probably knackered.

Don't buy a replacement from e-bay though. ;)

Here is a photo. The MAF is circled. You should be able to see a wiring connector going into it. this is what you need to unplug.
