I have an alfa romeo 156 2.0 twinspark 1997 model and i have a little problem.
I notice the steering was heavy so i stopped at the nearest car service, and he told me that the aux belt was gone. So i started wondering, what kind of aux belt do i need to buy to replace the old lost one.
I was also wondering if there was any guide to change it?

is the alternator/battery light on too? if the light is not on with the engine running then the belt is still in place but maybe frayed. if it is on then the belt is gone.

Does your car have air-con or not?

If air-con it needs a much longer belt, i can measure both lenght if you need. they are multi-riibbed [ 6 ribs ]

There are also two different length 6-rib belts.

Just talking NON A/C belts here.

Yes, that is the aux belt.
I linked to the page with everything because you may need a new tensioner as well.
