I put a thread on here back in Feb looking for advice on my next car purchase and got some great help, well after nearly a year  I have finally decided to see the winter through with my mondeo and the get myself a GT 1.9 jtdm

Im looking around at the moment to get a feel for the prices the good ones go for and will start my search in earnest in a couple of months time, I would like to find and stick with a good reliable Independant Alfa specialist from the off and hope for some recommendations, living in Bournemouth it appears I am fairly lucky having a Red Motori (Spetisbury), Italian Car (Poole) and Autolusso (Ferndown) all on my doorstep, without wanting to start any arguments which one should I choose

Indeed you are, there's another one down the road from Italian Car as well as a main stealer at Wallisdown.

There's a good thread in the South Central lounge here Where's best thread

I'm due a 104k service and got several estimates from all the local indi's as well as some further afield all the prices looked OK and within £200 of each other but mine's going back to Red as they've done work on the car before and I've not heard a bad word about them so would recommend them myself.

Cheers for that Andy, I know the stealers well as I live about about 300 yards away from them but don't think I'll be able to afford their prices !

Good to hear you've had nothing but good experiences with Red, be interested in the others as well as they are all nearer, I'll check out that thread, thanks for the link.

Meridien Milano do seem to be about 50% dearer than the indi's but it's nice to go and look at shiny new thinks occasionally. Last time I popped in they had a Giulietta Cloverleaf and an 8C Spider in there (which is currently down at their Lyndhurst branch), t'was double 'crisis' time lol.

Red do have a couple of courtesy cars that they'll lend you if available to get somewhere in as there really is nothing in Spetisbury.

Had a look in Meridien today at all the shiny Alfa's, it's really got me lusting after one now, I don't know how I'm going to wait until the spring to get my first Alfa its gonna kill me

Drove over to Autolusso as well and had a chat with Laurence, a top bloke who was only to happy to have a chat and answer a few questions for me regarding my future GT purchase, I look forward to dealing with you in the future buddy (although hopefully not to often ) :) .
