Well, here I am wondering what the hell I'm gonna replace my fantastic 159 with, come next May.

Why oh why does Alfa have huge gaps between model replacements.

They done it with the 156/159 which saw me in a Passat in 2006
They're gonna do it again with the 159/??????
It's bloody frustrating

credit crisis is to blame this time, they had plans afoot for a 'full scale' replacement apparently - I doubt that.
this then dropped to a planned facelift to ditch those awesome stern looking headlights for the 8c big eye look.
that seems to have dissappeared too...

**I read all this somewhere but its seems to be wrong? 2013 is ages away!

ah, google is your friend, scroll down a bit:

3 year lease is up.....looks like I'm gonna end up in a Volvo V60 R Design D5 :D
@ CJ, there was a distinct lack of 156 sportwagons when my car was due in May 2006. There was none in the country and orders had stopped. The 159 Sportwagon had not gone into production IIRC. Your right though....there was not a significant "gap" as there is now.

So my Bella is out of here in a couple of weeks :-(
Gutted tbh. It has been an absolute pleasure to drive and has been extremely reliable throughout its 90,000 miles life with me. It hasn't missed a single beat and other than the usual service items, it has only had a front bush fitted. It's a testament to Alfa Romeo. TBH, my experience with Benfield at Newcastle was so good, that I'd have been happy even if it had been as unreliable as my previous Passat.... They bent over backwards to help me every time I visited.
The best thing though, by far, is knowing that all my colleagues in their german black and grey coal boxes, who said "you don't want an Alfa they break" all know, that I was right and they were wrong :-D
This was my 6th Alfa Romeo and it will not be my last.
Thanks Alfa Romeo for doing what you've always done...... Made me happy :-D
