Hi, I own an Alfa GTV 3.0 v6 2000.y., front brakes are now 305mm disc and GTA first 4-pistons callipers. Now I want to put 330mm disc with bigger Alfa 166 or GTA newer calipers. How to do, if anybody know, please help! :D

305mmm GTA calipers are 'lug' mounted in the Z plane

330mm GTA calipers are RADIAL mounted in the Y plane ..... 90 degs different.

you'll need an adapter bracket also, which should come with the new claipers

Hi. Do you mind me asking what costs were involved in putting GTA calipers in? Did u get them new? Did you have to change the discs as well or was that another extra? And does it turn your brakes from standard GTV (ie, rubbish) into things that work well?

That must be a tight fit as the 166 calipers are designed for a 310x28mm disc. Is that a straight fitment or were some modifications required?

Certainly looks good

Hi ive got GTA calipers on with 330mm Tarox G88 discs with tarox pads, supplied and fitted by Roger at Peak Alfa 01433 623050. At a cost of £1047.35 inc vat and brake fluid, this was done in August 2007.

Mines got 18" wheels on too, not sure if 17's will clear the calipers?
The right 17" will clear the 330 brakes. ie std GTA teledials & late GTA Multispoke.

The early GTA 17" multispokes will also fit, but only if you use lower profile bolts to hold the caliper to the bracket. The std bolts hit the rim.

Thats pretty nice idea and possible I guess as the calipers have the external fluid pipe and not internal passage ways.

I bought second-hand calipers from AR 166 3.0 v6 2002.y. for 300 euros i great condition, clean them up and paint them...
Tarox Sport Japan 330x32mm disc cost 345 euro pair and brake pads also Tarox I paid 175 euros. It is not much money for what you got...

in this picture:

are those slotted mounting points on the strut standard or have they been welded on?

also the solid pipe feeding fluid ot the claiper, does it have a flexible section before it to allow it to move as the suspension rises/drops
