Anyone know where to get a replacement one of these or what their proper name is? Some over zealous pulling on a friends' part (oooer) managed to snap the cable end retainer.

Is it a bugger to replace?

yep i think it is!
This is a thread on here with loadsa pics when someone took apart the whole seat and thredded a new cable through because it snapped.

If it's just the handle then a new one will cost about £15 from Alfa, complete with new cable. You can just get away with renewing the handle if the cable is ok as it's slotted.

Alfa 147 passenger seat latch level broken but cable intact

I would be very grateful if someone can push me in the right direction with a seat latch issue. I have managed to break the plastic holder piece for the cable nipple. The cable is still intact and the end so can move the seat forward and back with a pliers..lol
but i need to change the plastic piece that levers the cable, can you please help as i have opened it but am not getting any closer to visualising how the plastic will come off without taking the whole part out.

I may be wrong but I think there's a split pin or spring than can be removed to enable the nipple to go in, then reconnect, its been a few months since I replaced both of my cables and the handle was already attached so not actually changed JUST the handle, I'm pretty sure it's possible though, hopefully someone else can confirm.

The silver pin needs pushing/pulling out , thats holding the lever . Be carefull as it also has a return spring .

Its an easy job only took me 10 mins to change my handle.
