Hi All,

Some advice please if you don't mind...

I'm new to the forum having put a deposit down on an Alfa Gt JTDm. I've searched the forum but can't quite find the correct answer.

I'm 56 yrs old with 3 pts on my licence with 6yrs no claims and yet i've tried moneysupermarket, gocompare, direct line & privilege and they're all coming back around 1kpounds for insurance. I had a Seat Leon Cupra before this and that was only 600 pounds.

Why am I being rammed by the insurance companies. Any recommendations of cheaper alternatives?

Cheers.

Im 32 with 5 years ncd and it's about £700 per year, I think the GT's a group 16?? So could explain why it's more expensive than the seat.

Aviva give 2 months free so might work out cheaper. If you can find someone with 9+years exp with 0 no claims and points it might drop even more. Trial and error with family if possible. 1 of my cousins works out £200 more than my other cousin and the only difference is he's married and 10 years older.
