Alfa Giulietta MA - It using a lot of oil

Good day everyone. My G is using a lot of oil. Every 2000km I have to add about 2L of oil. I replace the PCV valve and did take it to a turbo expert to check the turbo. They say the turbo is fine and replace the boost control valve and the MAP sensor but did replace the turbo seals. On the intake side of the turbo there is a bit of oil not sure if this is fine on not. I also decat it. I notice if I rev it to 4000rpm some blue smoke out of the exhaust.

Kind regards
Kevin

If PCV and turbo are new/been checked then it only really leaves external leak, valve seals or ring issue to cause the oil loss
That was my next step. Just want to make sure if I missed something. Will do a compressor test on the cylinders

Only replace the PCV valve yesterday late. Will take drive and after that will do the rev test.
What spec oil are you using in the engine?
Just repeating what has been said in the past, make sure oil isn't present in the coolant and the oil isn't collecting on the topside of the undertray, it is like a baked oil sponge if you park on level ground.

Did you check the old PCV? If it is holed or the return is blocked maybe oily vapour sucked into the manifold, but 1L every 1000km no idea?
If you’re using the correct spec oil it sounds like worn piston rings. What’s the mileage of your car?
Got full service at agent. Using the correct specs oil from Alfa agent. Alfa G got 160k on the clock. I also pull the service history at the agent just to verify. I am not happy with the turbo diagnosis with I received. There is oil in the intake and oil on the MAP sensor however they say the turbo is fine. There is no play on the turbo sharft. I person say it may also be a brittle crackshaft seal. My G is not leaking oil. I can't get my head around how a crack seal can cause oil to be burnt.
Whoever said crank seal for burning oil hasn’t got a clue.

Let's try this one more time. May I ask what spec oil is currently in the engine?

Might be worth getting a compression test done. It will let you know if you have piston ring or piston issues.

They are rare but not totally unheard of.
A compression test won’t necessarily highlight an issue with worn oil control and oil scraper rings. If you have access to a compressor, get hold of a cylinder leakage tester and carry out a leakage test. You could do one run dry and a second run with a couple of squirts of engine oil onto the pistons and note your results. The oil should form a temporary seal and thus produce less leakage.

By removing the spark plugs I noticed the following
Household hardware Gas Auto part Metal Electric blue

Household hardware Gas Metal Nickel Auto part

Spark plug from cylinder 1

Font Metal Stationery Titanium Auto part

C2 - C4 are looking good

So this means my problem is on cylinder 1
Might be rings or bad valve stems seals.

That might just be oil from the spark plug tube gaskets. Worn valve stem oil seals will give you excess smoke on start up. Idle and overrun conditions. Although because the multi air doesn’t have the same manifold depression as a conventional engine you may not see it at idle.

Please explain the spark plug tube gaskets
So if I understand correctly it might just be a bad top cover gasket? Yes a compression test would be the way actual to go to be more or less 70% sure before one starts removing parts which is actual correct.
Please explain the spark plug tube gaskets
At the bottom of the spark plug tubes there are rubber gaskets. 55233644 ALFA ROMEO GIULIETTA 1.4 SPARK PLUG SEAL 55233644

Thank u. Will get here locally in RSA at the agent's
You might want to get something like this so you can see the lower part of the cylinders which might be causing your issue.
