Does the Alfa 33 have 1 or more L.S.D's fitted as standard?

If it does, what make would it most likely to be?

I'm about to embark on a project to fit the running gear from a '92 Alfa 33 P4 into either a Fr.W.D. 33 or a Alfa Sud or a 145.

There is no standard LSD diff for 33 , only aftermarket and the best is quaife.. Unfortunately very expensive and very hard to find as most suppliers require at least 10pcs mass order to start making them. You could modify current diff with disks but the LSD will be steady , for example 20% qhich is good only for race track and not road purpose.

Also , if you are planing to put 4wd on 33 or Sud or 145 keep in ming you will have to modify rear floor and petrol tank.....

I tried to contact the person on Octane but without any success. If possible could you try to contact him too? Thanks.

BTW I'm collecting the P4 parts thursday evening. I've found a person willing to sell a Fr.W.D 33 to me but if i got a p4 shell i'd prefer it

Fluffy, would it have been me, I recall mentioning a P4 shell to you before. In the end I greedily got it for myself with the intention of putting the rear/boot floor into a Sud with the running gear, but plans change, too many other jobs to do first:rolleyes:

Just as well I didnt get it. Not enough brownie points:lol:

On a completely unrelated point, did you reserve some early boxer heads from the dude in cork I got my sud off? If so they are in dunleer now so if you still want them they are closer to home.

Hi

Wouldn't be that easy to put it into a Minari. You would need a load of changes the the underside.

A one off based on the Minari was built using Subaru Impreza running gear (including the 4fwd) as the Delfino. But the underside of the shell was moulded very differently.

All the best

I met SunSonic today. The P4 shell was exactly as he described. As it doesn't have a log book of any sort it can not be put on the Irish roads again. So now mulling over my options. Do I still buy it for 'Track-day' use or as a winder 'snow-mobile'?
