Hi,
like it says above really. the engine turns over, but it doesn't start till it's been turning for about 20 seconds or so only from cold. seems fine when the engines warm.

is it a MAF or throttle sensor problem perhaps? i've tried cleaning the MAF, there's no splits in the air hoses. not too sure what else to do with it!!


any help would be greatly appreciated, it's getting me down now!!

If it only happens from stone cold then maybe it's the temp sensor? if that's not working properly then the ECU is not getting the message "put the choke on"

Have you tried cleaning the plugs!?

thanks for the replies chaps,
i've tried cleaning the plugs, they weren't too dirty but i cleaned them anyway.
the car was in having some other things looking at, so i asked if they could diagnose a problem. nothing came up. typical as well, they had the car overnight, started it in the morning without any problem at all - it must be me!!!
Alfa's are great!!
