Hi, My 2.0 GTV JTS (2004 model) ate a piston. As the con rod flapped around on run down it has dented the cylinder bores.

Please could I get advice on where I could get hold of a replacement block. I have checked e-bay and can buy a whole 2.0 ts for around £250, but dont need the ancillaries and head just block, ideally with crank and good bottom end bearings.

Derby based, can pick up from anywhere not too distant.

Try Autolusso in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire ( Close to M1 J12 or J11 ) - fairly easy from Derby!

EDIT : I'd budget on sticking in new bearings anyway whilst the engine is out. It may have had a timing belt failure so better change them and have peace of mind.

I have a bottom end from a 2000 model had a head gasket failure if any good to you I am near Sheffield

Hi, JA5ON, Iam interested in your spare block, do you have a price in mind? and is the block accesible to be crained into a small trailer
(can't beliveve how heavy they are with flywheel and other bits on)

I wish they had made it an ally block not cast iron :-( major let down for the engine
