Hello all, with all the Toyota \ Honda \ PSA recalls around the media these days I checked the following for Alfa 159 recalls ... not too much to be concerned about but 06 \ 07 owners may want to check...

Looks like an issue with pas pump then

Non recall, but upgraded parts fitted upon failure/ problem with existing:

Phase 2 210bhp cylinder head (requires special glow plugs) - counters sticking valves
4 cylinder cars power steering reservoir (sloping shaped one replaced with squarer type)
Phase 2 bonnet catch (replaces original L shaped pull in grill)

ah, ok, that makes sense then. thought that there might have been an issue with the steering rack as the wifes 159 has a corroded and now leaking rack.

Yes that what I thought - pas pump ? by the sound of it - Alfa interpret it differently to vosa

The 'power take off' one is for Q4 cars only and was a core plug in the transmission, its not the steering.

Other non recall mods are:

3.2 Brera fuel tank (wont fill properly)
Brera volumetric alarm sensors

that makes sense now
