When I hold my speed steady the car jerks every now and again. Have had it checked out but found no problems with engine. Anyone out there experianced this proplem. I think it's the injectors.

Could be the injectors, or the EGR valve, or the DPF regenerating. All of these are common problems. If you do a thread search there is plenty of info on these

had the same thing. blanked off the egr valve and the slight jerks/hesitancy stopped -so left it blanked off!

i have this. when cars about to or doing a regen.
did you notice any smoke ?

When I accelerate it chucks out lots of smoke. If I blank the egr will this have any effect on the emission fumes for mot?

No.

You may or may not be aware that with a remap you can have this valve closed off (properly) as a long term solution. Blanking it will cause an error message on your dash (after maybe 3 stop/starts of the engine) ....but you will be able to deduce if the car drives ok with it blanked ...then that is your problem! if it drives the same with it blanked ....then you prolly have a different problem.
