No such thing. Ever. Not even a prototype.
+1 With Ian...
33, 75, 90, 145, 146, 147, 155, 156, 159, 164 or 166 are the only road car numbers for Alfa:
Race car numbers there are a few more - but you will KNOW they are race cars (F1 / Le mans style)

So the Alfa 157 does exist. Wasn't brought to SA though.

Never existed. Might have been a magazine-imagined name for the 159 once, but never anything even remotely official.

There are lots of pics of 157 on Google because everybody thought the 159 was going to be called 157. Those pics are all artists impressions. There is no such thing as a 157. In some markets numbers were changed around for example the 164 was called 168 in japan because 164 sounded like some badluck omen and 168 sounded like a goodluck omen. Or something... but no market called a 156 or anything else, a 157...

Watch my lips: "there was no such model as a 157" on a lighter note, my son has a friend who bought an Alfa and when I asked him which one he said "a 47". I said no such thing. He said come look outside. It was a 147 with the "1" missing. I packed up. Anyway now he has a Guilietta so the Alfa bug has bitten.

Lots of ***** admirers refer to the 159 as a 157.
