Had my 156 floor pans replaced around 3/4 years ago. Everything had to be stripped, of course. When the passenger air bag sensor was re-connected, a warning light permanently displayed on the dash. This was resolved by a diagnostics test which found nothing wrong. So, disconnecting sensors could cause warnings to display.
