Dear All,
Having owned a 147 2.0 with perfect tracking/geometry and balanced steering for 10 yrs, I am frustrated to find that my recently acquired 2004 156 v6 has an obvious pull to the left (not just natural drift with road camber). I have had 4 wheel geometry and tracking checked and all within factory specs. Does anyone have any experience and found a solution... Could the steering rack be involved? Most grateful for any help. Thanks

Who did the alignment check. Lots of places that do 4 wheel alignement can't seem to get a 156 right yet do all other cars happily. I ended up using a specialist for mine who got it bang on everytime. Pulling to the left could also be a dragging brake pad

Hi Matty,

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have a similar vintage 156 and having had the alignment done by a very reputable specialist after some work it started pulling left. Had it back on the ramps and it had managed to knock itself out a long way. Alignment set again on Friday, and already it has started pulling left again.

alfa pulling left

Hi, I didn't get manage to get it sorted and sold it because I couldn't live with it! I even took it to an Alfa specialist (Lyles in Newcastle) and they thought it was ok, but it still wasn't right. There was some play in the wishbones which might have made a difference but I didn't want to go to that expense and risk still having the same issue. Good luck, and let me know if you find a solution... Matty
