Well I can't recommend the cheapy £15 ebay job as it went very rusty!!!, I've bought myself a K&N RC-5052AB - Universal Air Filters, Universal Cold Air Intake to put on the car (mainly because of the forced induction ... not that that makes a huge difference on a turbo car).

I've not done anything on the car since my last post (been too busy with building work on the house), but once I get round to it I'll post up how I've done it.
Cheers Chris
looking forward to the posts, just starting to do a bit to the car. i got koni FSD's with sport pack springs, upgraded front disks, all from EB Spares. Also fitted a GTA interior and upgraded bluetooth ICE. just put a new clutch and got it de-carbonised. ready for an upgrade such as an intercooler now and maybe a q2.

Regards

Definitely get the q2 (or a quaiffe as the price is about the same now) as they improve the handling 100% when you've got the power down

There isn't any more cheap Q2s to be had now, cheapest I can find after a quick search is EB Spares & Alfaworkshop both at around £600 inc VAT for Q2, pair of bearings, pair of driveshaft seals and a pair of O-rings.

Actually I tell a lie, my Q2 was cheap cause it came inside a GT Q2 6-speed gearbox I bought for £350 :D

Would you recommend this gearbox in the 2.4JTD?

Cheers

Do a search for the CF2 10v cam and fitting to the CF3, I think Squadra have done some research into this and with the CF2 the downturn of the power curve is much less pronounced as you pull to the redline. My old CF2 used to rev out to 5k all the time but all my CF3 10vs have never wanted to go much past 4k. .

So which Camshaft is better? Cf2 ones or Cf3?.... I thought it was the other way around... With CF3 you can get more RPS than the cf2 cam.

I thought CF2 was better than CF3, but I have never properly looked into it.. If I change the camshaft it will be for C&B.

inlet timing is the same - opening 0° bTDC; closing 32° aBDC; duration 212°

exhaust timing:
EUR2: opening 32° bBDC; closing 0° aTDC; duration 212°
EUR3: opening 40° bBDC; closing -2° aTDC; duration 218°
