Hello folks,

I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a problem my Alfa 156 2.0 JTS 2005model, is experiencing.

After a trip to Birmingham, the car has developed a vibrating rattling type noise which seems to be coming from the rear of the car. The noise disappears once the car is warmed up. The noise doesn't affect the driving of the car, still smooth and pulls through the gears fine.

If I go over a speed bump, the sound is more pronounced.
Just wondering what the hell it is, I've had the car for over a year and it has been faultless.

All replies appreciated...

Check:
Wobbly exhaust

This is the only thing at the back that gets hot so is the most likely candidate.

Wheel bearings would just sound worse and worse as would any suspension components.

Thanks for reply. I had a feeling it was exhaust related
