PLEASE HELP!!!!
I have an alfa 147 2002 semi automatic selespeed, I love my car but my problem is it keeps coming up with the same problem " Monitor System Failure" Selespeed System Failure" I have been constantly getting Green Flag out to it. They wipe the computer and its fine for a day then it does it again.
They told me first off all it was the brake pedel which I replaced, then it did it again and this time told me it was the Accelerator pedal, I took it to a garage and they told me I needed a new Alternator at a cost of £240 but Green Flag told me there is nothing wrong with the Alternator and it was the Accelerator pedal. My Brother replaced this with a full unit and it worked no problem for 2. days and has just done it again but when this happens it does not come out of 2nd gear and goes into mode that takes me home but is really scary when this happens as I can be in fifth gear and it will suddenly drop and im scared of having or causing an accident.
It happened again this morning and again!!! called out Green Flag who this time told me it was the sensor to the gearbox that was at fault even though he didnt get his computer out that checks this just presumed.
Now Im at a loss, I feel like no one knows what the fault is and are all just guessing !!!! im at my wits end and really dont know where to turn. I really hope you can help!!!!!!! like I said I love my car, but im scared of driving it at the moment. Any help at all would be really greatly appreciated. Thank you.
