Hi All,

I have had my 2.0 147 for a little over a week and it has overheated twice.
The first time, I had been for a blast on the motorway and the warning light came on after I had come off onto normal roads. I dipped the clutch to take the pressure off the engine, turned a side street corner to stop, and as soon as I had, the temp went from 130 to 90 degrees.
I flushed the coolant and filled it up with premixed coolant/antifreeze.
Tonight, I was trying o keep the MPG as high as possible on some A roads, and again, the temp was at 130. I stopped in a bus stop and as soon as I had, the temp went down to 90.
Are there any quick fixes that won't mean having a new thermostat, water pump etc?
