Hello all!

This is my first post on alfaowner. I own a fantastic 147 gta which has been a blast to drive so far. I bought it one year ago with 115.000km and I've been using it as my second car on weekends and trips.

I would like to ask you about a noise that the engine has started doing. The sound comes from the left side of the engine, where the belts are, so I'm a little worried about it.

I recorded a video so you can hear the noise, maybe you can give me some clues about it. The timing belt was replaced on the car 20.000km ago.

remove the cover and see where the belt is sitting

As maxiboy says, remove the upper timing belt cover and make sure it's not running against the covers. If it is, it'll snap very quickly, as per this one;

The car stopped making the noise, so I'll keep an eye on it. I think that I will take the car to the workshop if it happens again, as I don't have the tools and the knowledge to touch the engine. If someone else had any other idea/opinion I would love to hear it.
