Hi all

Is it me, or is the factory fit alarm/immobiliser require that you stand right next to the window to operate the central locking and arm/disarm the alarm.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

Can you use your keyfob from at least 6 foot away?

any help appreciated

HI LESPIX, FIRST OF ALL CHECK THE 2 BATTERY
IN THE KEY AND AFTER THIS CHECK THE WIRES CONTACTS OF THE ALARM RECEIVER WHICH IS IN THE UPPER REAR ROOF BELOW THE CORTESY LAMP.
GOOD LUCK
REGARDS JORGE :)

I have a '96 155 2.0 TS and the original equipment alarm does require you to stand next to the rear door and point at the rear courtesy light.

My factory fit alarm works from 20 metres OK
The only time I had problems was when the battery contacts needed cleaning and then it didn't work at all
Thats a 96 super model
