with the engine still not running right at the moment, ive been told (on here as well by friends) it could be a number of sensors, well putting this aside for one moment, i suspect the air intake is also part of the problem, im obviously no expert, and ive never been a fan of standard air intakes anyway, but it seems quite restrictive to me considering the length and the intake pipework

and wit me wanting to do some 'run wat ya brung's this yr, i was maybe thinking of ripping off the crappy pipe and fabricating some sort of forced air induction kit

anybody got any ideas what i can do and materials to use?

Well the lenth of the intake system I's not really relevant,
as you have a phase 1 the pre filter intake is better and you can alter it to make a direct cold feed,

then if you fit a un oiled induction cone filter inside the air box, this allows more air flow from a cold feed,

there pretty easy to fit inside, the pipe that norm sits inside the air filter at the top, cut that down to about 2" then fit to the air box lid then fix cone filter to that,
