Hello Group,

I am in need of an A/C High Pressure Cycling (Cut Off) Switch for a 1996 Alfa Romeo GTV Spider 2.0 TS. Can anyone help me source one?

I've attached a pic:

I think the part number you need is 60810323.

If you go here
FIAT ePER

and type in your VIN then navigate to 501 ('VENTILATION AND HEATING'), 50103 then drawing 3 of 6. You're looking at one of the two item 4s I think ( the one not greyed out for your VIN number ). Item 14 is I believe the other pressure switch.

For new, try locating a Valeo dealer as they make an equivalent ( cheaper than AR too! ). For a Spider, three switches are listed in the Valeo catlogue :

4 level switch ( probably not the one ) ( Valeo part number 509476 )
Low pressure switch ( Valeo part number 509474 )
Trinary switch ( Valeo part number 508655 ) <<<< 60810323

EDIT : this looks like tghe one in your photo and the connector is right with the correct number of contacts

The SAAB 9000 was imported to North America as was the Alfa 164. Would there be another company like Valeo for the NA market that does an equivalent? Maybe one of the biggies like Delphi/AC Delco.

Have you tried a SAAB forum, to see if they can help?

The part is surely available in NA. I'd approach it from the SAAB angle as they were imported in far greater numbers to NA I reckon.
