The air box on a JTD GT, does it have a resonator like on the petrols? If it has has anyone actually removed it?

It doesn't.
The v6 pipe that people use on the TS is also used on the Diesels.

BMC CDA+silicone intake? (or similar)
Worked a treat on my V6 - no experience of the difference it would make to a diesel though...

I am looking at an induction kit for her as she cat less so this will all help. I can get rid of the airbox at the same time.

The airbox does have a resonator built into it, removing this (and blanking off the pipe feeding it) does give an increase in induction roar, probably not as much as sticking a cone on though.

Yeah - no idea why its there apart from deadening intake noise TBH

There was some talk about it helping with turbulance within the intake...

Does it not?
Wonder why they bothered on the 147/GT then.
OP was asking for a GT though
Sorry, completely missed that and assumed it was a 156.
156 intakes are completely different from all 147/GT except for the 3.2v6

It has been a busy week...... I'll get my coat... :)
