My renewal qoute from Tesco was £1020, and phoning around was between £900-£1000.

Thanks to Alfaowner and Adrien Flux they saved me the price of my up and coming Alfa service with a qoute of £585.99. Incredible!

Nice one guys.

Just don't expect things to move quickly if you have to make a claim esp if the actual ins company is Royal Sun Alliance.

Got side swiped bacl in 21st June, still not even looked at my case because of a backlog at Royal Sun

I don't think that's entirely fair, as you've stated the backlog is with royal sun alliance not AF, it's a brokers job to place you with an underwriter not actually sort claims themselves.

As far as I know AF are just a broker, they don't underwrite any policies themselves and just take a management fee for finding you the best policy.

As you noted that I pointed out, YES, problem is with RSA but just hoping that alfa1999 didn't get landed with RSA either.

As I have found out, CHEAPER is not always BETTER.

QUITE! Be very careful of what appear to be very cheap quotes. Adrian Flux have specialised for some 30 years in the "modified & kit-car" market. Read the small print VERY carefully. Adrian Flux are "brokers". They DO NOT underwrite any policies that they sell. Therefore they might offer you a VERY cheap policy but it is then up to you to read & agree to the terms of that policy. "What appears to be gold does not always glitter". You get what you pay for.

Try claiming when you are next side-swiped & see what happens:p

Over 33 years I've been there, done it & don't want the T-Shirt. I re-iterate - you only get what you pay for. If you just want a certificate of motor insurance to keep yourself legal then fine. Just ensure that you can afford to either repair or replace your car at your own cost before you even contemplate a "cut-price" policy!

I'll bet you get nothing after a year of moaning to the likes of Adrian Flux......

One thing 1 don't understand with AF is I had a lightly modded 200sx group 18 and was paying £420, I changed over to the 156, completely standard and its £470!! Why there is such a large difference for a lower group car i've no idea? I only kept with Flux as I'm payin over 10 months. I shall definitely be shopping around come renewal time.

transfered my remaining AF cover today from my sprint to my sud, although the transfer cost is £25 i thought it would be worth it to not lose out on 8odd months insurance, even though the sud isn't exactly roadworthy. nice surprise when told the sud is cheaper to insure than the sprint was so its costing less than a tenner to change, what a result:thumbs: generally found them to be very good for the price, helpful every time iv'e contacted them, although haven't ever had to make a claim  :D
