It may need resetting,search for ecu reset and you'll find it,or it may be that the variable resistor(like an old fashioned volume control on a tv or radio)is worn.The best way to find out is to get the codes read and check the readings from the accelerator pedal,there should be two readings,iirc.MES (used to FES) and a suitable cable (vag com) is what I used to check mine!
If you are real lucky an ecu reset may cure it,but if not ,read the codes!
GT boot light not working. It did work when I got the car. When you open the boot the 'Boot Open' indicator comes on on the dash. I've tried two bulbs and even an new light module as the one in there was broken from prying the wrong end. I've tried spraying contact cleaner into the lock...

Hi, as the tread I read are very old, I wonder if anyone has fitted slim snow chains to 17 inch wheels in 2019.
Here in Italy it is just requested to carry snow chains or winter tires but it never snows and never goes under +10°C.
I looked at the space for the snow chains on my 156 with GTA...
You need the model number and serial number...
Only for 147,156 and GT factory fitted Blaupunkt radios.. POST 2001.
Then enter your serial number ... starting BP
