A common cause of this on 147s is a faulty brake light switch (several threads on the subject) which causes the ABS/VDC warning without any fault being recorded by the ECU. However, the warning normally goes when the ignition is switched off & only reappears when the brake pedal is pressed, & then not every time, so yours may be a different problem.

As above, the brake switch seems to be the problem.

I'm guessing the warning comes up as soon as you touch the pedal when starting the car?

If so, un-clip the switch which is the white plug above the brake pedal & give it a nice spray with some electrical spray.

Still could be worth a clean i guess, only takes a couple of minutes. Does your cruise control work, along with the rear brake lights?

Or maybe an ECU reset?
