Hello, last Sunday (2 days before Mot), I had the ABS/VDC System failure message come up on the dashboard and it stayed on. After checking the fuses as described in other threads, I took it to a dealer for diagnosis who informed me the NSR Sensor needs replacing.

Is this easy enough to do? I have not worked on the GT before and am not that familiar with the sensors.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

James.

If it's the same as a 156 then it's fairly straightforward. You don't have to remove the disk. The sensors are held by a single 6 mm screw (with a 10 mm a/f hexagon), but are quite a job to pull out. Try to see if you can rotate it a bit to help it come loose. As you're going to fitting a new one it doesn't matter if you break it. Once you've got it out, trace the lead to find where it goes through the boot floor and into the connector. On mine this is a white two-pin plug that you need a small screwdriver to release.
