Hi All,

The Mito went in for a service recently and we were told that the tracking was out causing tyre wear on the front driver side tyre. Went to a tyre centre that I regularly use and he categorically said it was not the tracking, probably the camber is off. Anyone had a similar problem? Just want to have some facts when I go make my warranty pitch. We have moved the tyre to the back until we can get a new tyre. That should prevent any further deterioration.

I have included a picture, you can clearly see a band of wear on the inside of the tyre, definately not normal. There are 20000 kms on the car.

My MiTo is exactly the same. I've had to replace the front yres after about 10K Miles due to them being worn on the inner edge. It's all to do with the suspension set-up. I'm a Technician at a Jaguar dealership and Jags have exactly the same problem. Not tracking, not camber, just how it is unfortunatly.

Mine did exactly the same thing and so did Janitor's. However, mine was down to the tracking (5 degrees toe-in) and the difference since having it done is dramatic. I guess you're running P-Zero Nero which, from what I've read, suffers from poor tyre wear anyway (mine lasted 8000 miles which is about 13,000 km).

Thanks for the replies. I will give the dealer a call tomorrow and see what they say. I used to have a 156 and that ate the inside of tyres. You really had to keep an eye on it and have the tracking regularly adjusted. But it happened on both front wheels. This is only happening on the driver side. All the other tyres are wearing very evenly so i suspect the set up is wrong on that side. I will keep you updated.
