One area on my Sud that I need to do something with is the A Pillar where the wings mount. The little captive nuts have disappeared - red circles on the photo:

I wondered if anybody had any good tips on what to do in their place  Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Clean up the area first.
Then put a nut onto a bolt and wiggle the nut into the hole. Hold it in place with the bolt and then tack weld the nut in place.

with stuff like that, i use plaster board raw plugs from wicks, cut them i half then just use the front part of the raw plug , throw the rear bit away, then use self tappers with 10mm hex head, you can get a big bag of em from screw fix.

all i did was to make the reapir patch needed to fill the hole, then drill a hole where the nut needs to be, weld it to the back (nut & bolt it to hold in place) then just weld the patch in. the cage nuts suds suggested are probably the best solution, but there is a bit of tolerance in the mounting points so it's not too critical
