totally hypothetical but which would you rather?
i) a maserati granturismo s
ii) a jaguar xkr 5l supercharged
iii) an aston martin v8/ v12 vantage

all incredibly stylish and and push all the right buttons. with the jag and maser adging ahead with 2+2 seats, but the aston pulling it back with a proper manual gearbox, in my fantasy garage I find it very difficult to choose a winner? I would like my 6 numbers to come up lol

the maser for me. that sound, and the fact it's knee-tremblingly beautiful to the point of making the aston look like a tonka toy
a friend of mine has got one in black and it looks absolutely stunning!!!
following him up a hill and hearing the car drop down gear before he took off omg the noise

I would have the Maser.

I do like the Aston as well, but they are suprisingly common around these parts and for that sort of money I would want something a bit exclusive.

Looking at the relative prices I'd have to go for the Jaaaag and then spend the saved 20 grand building my ultimate Escort I think.

Heart says Aston, common sense says Jaguar.
Not much is saying Maserati other than it sounds best when you say it in the pub. It's gaping mouth front end doesn't do it for me. I've never heard one driven hard but I find it difficult to believe it sounds much better than an Aston V12 or even the Jag once those exhaust gates are open..

Maserati 3200 GT, the one with the boomerang tail lights  Well within reach at today's prices, if of course you could afford to spend 10-12k on a second car.

They do look good value but you also need to factor running costs, I don't just mean fuel either :)

 . I would love a 3200GT (twin turbo V8 engine derived from the biturbo V6), but from reading around it seems that spending the extra on a 4200GT would pay for itself within a few years in reduced running costs.

All the best
