Afternoon peeps, I have recently acquired a (1995) 916S2 spider 2.0 ltr that has another dipstick in the boot. The previous owner mentioned a dipstick issue and I'm now wondering which is the correct one. I did an oil and filter change refilling with carefully measured 4.4 ltrs whch came above the existing dipstick 'full' mark, but the other dipstick is of the flat steel type (as opposed to the coiled spring round type) and is difficult to push down the twisting tube. There's about 40mm difference in them

My question is....could anyone possibly measure their 916S2 dipstip for me? (Under the shoulder at the handle/grip end to the 'full' mark) so that I can correct this once and for all.

Any help/suggestions would be very appreciated.

Excellent....just been and measured mine, and its 53cm long too. What bothers me now is that the 4.4 ltrs of oil I topped it back up with comes up the coiled part by about 12mm (roughly 25mmm over the 'full' mark). :(

Interesting link, too. Thank you..... that's the sort of issue I have as well.....
