do i have to replace the abs sensor when i replace the front wheel bearings as these seem to be an expensive item?

They rarely come out of the hub without damage though.
The best way is to leave the sensor in the hub and disconnect at the yellow plug near the suspension top mounts in the engine bay.

thanks seltzer iam going to put it into a garage to have both changed i prefer to buy the parts myself and just let them install them

Hi Steve,

I had my front bearings changed on Tuesday just gone, sourced the bearings from Jamie Porter and had them fitted at a friend's garage as I remember this job being a right effort on my 155.

Just as well really, it took him twice as long as the book time to do as everything was seized in place, still only cost £60 though which was well worth it to me.

Thermostat and rocker cover gasket are the next jobs, they are easy enough though and I'll tackle them myself on Monday if it warms up a bit!
