I'm needing to change the oil in my newly purchased 75 & I'm unsure what to go for.

The manual states 10w/40 however I've read elsewhere that 10w/60 is now recommended for the TS?

Rather than starting a heated debate as seems to happen when oil is mentioned & never coming to a definitive conclusion... what do you think?

My car has a very low mileage, has seen frequent oil changes, is standard, will not see hard use & will rarely be driven in truth. That said I need to think about cold start protection that some oils I guess might offer over others...

10/40semi synthetic is the oil still for the T/S off the 75 era. 10/60 was for the later 16v JTS engines I believe
Change it yearly or 6000 miles was the recommendation in the 80's.
Oils have come on a long way and should last longer but I would stick to the above schedule.
I believe in using a reasonable quality oil and changing it regularly in my 75's rather than go for the super expensive stuff designed for more modern machines with 20,000mile/2 year style changes.
My T/S is only on 140,000 miles and uses about 1 pint every 5000 miles
