Funnily enough I've just been looking at this.

I hope it doesn't look like the rendered image though. It's worse than the Project 8!

He talks a lot, but says very little! Who is he?

Ovviamente, ho capito tutto,

I have no idea who he is and, unlike you, understood almost nothing about what he was saying, but it doesn't sound like I've missed out on very much!

I was only there for the pretty pictures.

The same rendered images also appear on a Ron's Rides video from a couple of weeks ago. All a bit "Max Power" for me.

That rear spoiler looks like something you would put on the back of a pimped up Ford Escort! Yewww. Am sure if the release is even anything significant they would make it look nice.

This was posted on a German Forum. Not sure what to make of it!

If the current QV is generally regarded as one of, if not the best in class and despite this AR sales are still languishing where they currently are... will another halo model really help ?
Don't get me wrong I like that AR is pushing out more performance, but I wish they'd spend the effort on genuine model refreshes instead of light facelifts.

If there is a 600+ BHP Q GTA... and it's brilliant... then what ? Does it really contribute to 500,000 global sales in the same way a series II Giulia would ?

Of course if the GTA is the basis for a 2021 series II Giulia then all is forgiven :)

Developing the GTA will probably cost less than the amount of publicity they can buy and it keeps Alfa in the Top Trumps position of visibility that could bump BMW off a magazine cover or website.

Yes. Doors are quite complex and the body-side would be different. Then the design wouldn’t look that special so the roof would be dropped- new rear screen etc etc. In the days of the coachbuilders..but they’re all gone.

If it is a GTA then I think it's a good move. Its consolidating Alfa as the ultimate sports saloon. That's what they decided to be when they committed to the Giulia so good on them for going all in. If, and it is and if, they unveil the GTA then that at least shows some integrity. They are never going to compete with the masses, stick to what they now do best, building the Ultimate Driving Machine!😉

Let’s hope it is more tasteful than the Stelvio and Giulia at Geneva last year, with some aspirational bits that could be just about attainable for the more expensive models as an option.

It does very much seem as though Alfa Romeo are not in the least bit concerned that they are not selling volume numbers. A GTA is fantastic, and I'm sure in 5 years time the average Alfa Romeo will be eyeing up a used one.

Now, if Alfa Romeo were interested in numbers why arnt they launching at the same time something like this:

"The Passat GTE is driven by both a zero-emission electric engine and a traditional 1.4-litre TSI engine. Although the hybrid engine is much quieter don’t be fooled. The Passat GTE can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 7.2 seconds. "

I wont even suggest the idea of an estate to take sales off Mercedes, BMW, VW, Audi, Volvo....anyone else?

I suppose I should have added the caveat, the technology, ignore the car.
