Lady Louise and I bought a 3 door 118d M Sport, personally I think it's quite a good looking car. Like a lot of cars though I do think it depends on the colour, and white does not show it off to its best.

Now back on track, pictures, we demand pictures. What we've seen so far has made LL and I wish we were there even more.

For some reason the ones I took on my phone haven't come out. Suffice to say it was a great trip and despite the smaller numbers worked really well. In fact given the nature of some of the roads and the confines of the square/off street in Melrose it was perfect.

I've already had a peep at some hotels for next year. We can start to kick some ideas around on the breakfast runs....lets get them up and running now that the fine weather has started to arrived.

As an AROC member I was asked to write a short article about the 5th Annual AO Tour of Scotland for AROC Scotland's monthly newsletter. I thought it would be appropriate to post it here as well - just to remind everyone of the great time we had. :thumbs:

A word of explanation -the references to the 2008 AROC Carrera Pancaledonia are included as that event occurred at the height of the 2008 Morpeth floods - these curtailed the event to some extent so it was nice to re-visit the area in slightly drier conditions!

Great write up - a good summary of the trip and its surrounds. I'll certainly be back to Melrose at some point in the future, even only for a cross border stop over.

For those interested Graeme, Mike and myself met last week to discuss plans for 2015 and our 6th Run. Details will be up in Autumn, but its back to the west coast for sure.

Hope to see a lot more of you all there.

An excellent read Mike. A jealousy inducing reflection of what was an excellent weekend, no doubt. It seems that Stuart's efforts and negotiations certainly paid off - nice one!
I will definitely be attending the 6th run next year and giving Speyfest a miss!! I'm looking forward to it already. You have set the bar high............

Hi Simon, after many meetings and discussions between those who put in all the time and effort for these fantastic weekends. Then with Stuart and I stepping down from our roles, the decision was made to make it a non AO event.

It was great while it lasted, thanks to all who attended them over the years.

I shall raise a glass to you all when we're at Kyle in May.
