Over the past few months I've been in a situation where I've been taking my Giulietta into my local dealer to have a dashboard rattle problem sorted.

Unfortunately, they haven't been able to resolve my issue and I keep having to take it back....3 times so far and it's still not resolved.

It's a good dealer and I like the service they offer but I'm starting to feel bad about being so picky about this problem....but to me it 'should' be sorted. I'm not prepared to pay 24k for this low quality issue without a fight.

It sounds as though they are trying but can someone tell me if theres a way of organising a specialist through Alfa UK...or something along those lines. If the dealers simply can't solve a problem do they draught in outside help of some sort?

Thanks for any help. It's really ruining the experience of a great car.

How bad is the rattle?
How bad are the roads you're hurtling down?

I've a few squeaks and rattles, but nothing loud.
Not annoying unless poor road conditions.

I guess you could also try different dealers too.
My worry would be taking bits of dash apart might make things worse.

Ultimately, if unhappy with a dealer, its time for ARUK customer services.

after the steering sensors packed up on my mito while it was still under warranty i had to wait a couple of days before an alfa technician called in at the dealer to examine the car and give the dealer the go ahead to repair it (as it was an expensive job) maybe your dealer could call in a third party to see if your rattle could be resolved

I have same problem with rattle on the left side of steering wheel, just under the dash bord. I think it is coming from vents. This is forth time for me going to dealer, and they didn't solve it yet, but I will not give up. I will go there until they solve that problem, same is for squeezing driver seat.
It is a big shame those rattles and squeezing seat give impression of low quality. On the other hand G is great car !

Are you absolutely sure it's the dashboard? I had a rattle & I thought it was the passenger seat headrest. It's actually the nearside passenger door window.

The other one is the dashtop vent between the windscreen and the dashtop box. It only clips in but moves about in its 'slot' and vibrates. I refitted mine, just making sure it was seated properly and it's been fine since.

Where about does it seem that rattles coming from?

I had a rattle in behind the passenger side of the dash. Thought it was in the glovebox, then maybe the wiper blade and so on...
I had taken it into the dealers some time ago and they said they would need to take the whole dash out to fix it and would need minimum 2 days to do. It was annoying me a little but not that much so I left it.
Then as it's got colder over the last few weeks it started to get louder and really annoy me so booked it in. After 2 days they said they had to wait on the 'technical specialist' to come out and check the problem which took a further 2 days. Not sure what that was about but anyway got it back on the 4th day and since then not a problem, appears to be properly sorted.
No idea what it was but if coming from a similar place as mine I would think it would be a proper dash out job.

My neighbours a mechanic and said to me that is the type of job a customer should never see
