Here they are:

1. What does mean "Indy" badge, do have something with the sunroof?
2. I often see 33S16 ... what is the "s" for ? I thought S is for P4, but mine is FWD and have it.
3. Is there 1.7 16v rated 129bhp, i thought is it the setup for 145 ?

I was told that the "s" denotes Sport and the rear sits lower because the base of the turret, where the top of the spring sits, is higher, allowing the rear to sit lower????
Othe prople have poo pooed this, i have no idea.
the 129 bhp 16v's are the one with cats on them, without a cat they are 135 i think and have different exhaust cams.

mine is an S as well, it is lower than the other 33's but the coilover springs are too soft.
I had to change them to OMP's because it was way too comfortable :lol:

I think the were 137 and 132bhp versions. i havent heard for less unless it was a special version at the end of the production in order to sell to specific region....

weird.
I have only ever known 137, meant to say that instead of 135 and 130, i class 129 as 130 :) I would think that a change in cams and a cat would restrict more than 5BHP

he he, wiki, that was just something i just found, i havent spoken to my friend to ask him where he got those stats from and i agree i think people here would know more, even more than alfa maybe :)

I don't have that sticker in my 33...

About the 129BHP question: the engine management and some external parts
on the 145/146 1.7 16V engine is different opposed to the 33 16V.
On the 145/146 models there's no HT distributor.
The air metering is done by a "hot air film" type sensor instead of the vane type
(less air restriction).
There's a camshaft position sensor for the sequential injection, on the 33 16V
all injectors are fired in the same time.
But the reason of the lower horsepower is the different ignition and fuel map
in the engine management unit, which is a Bosch Motronic M2.10.3 instead of the
Motronic ML4.1 used on the 33 16V. The M2.10.3 management unit made possible
to lower the harmful emissions.
