I received my tensioner kit but one of the installation locking pins has popped out. Will it be possible to press it in again? It needs to be pressed in and turned at the same time. I would rather try sorting it out than waiting for a replacement - See attached photo.

Just push it back in and twist like you say, then insert pin to lock it until all assembled and ready to release properly. Did it on mine with no issues

btw thanks for putting the link up for the timing chain, once the weather gets a bit warmer here I'm going to try to change it

You need to take one cam cover off and send me a photo of the chain - Send me a photo of the chain and I will let you know the part number
